Mostert De Winter, which is based in Hardinxveld-Giessendam, has been sold to Wouw-based Elkarij. The transaction includes all 39 employees, work in progress and plant and equipment. Last year, Mostert De Winter’s turnover was approximately €16m (£11m).
BAM said that it sees insufficient opportunities for further development of the activities of Mostert De Winter and considers this specialisation has only added value for the group. The transaction is in line with the streamlining of the organisation as part of BAM’s ‘Back in Shape programme’.
Elkarij carries out landscaping, construction and maintenance services for public spaces in the Netherlands, Belgium, the UK and Germany. The company has a turnover of approximately €200m and employs 2,200 people. Mostert De Winter will continue its activities under its own name. BAM said that the transaction will give Elkarij a prominent position in the market for green roofs and façades.
