The construction contract, worth 拢150m, sees the contractor follow on from its initial 拢1m pre-construction services contract, awarded by developer LBS Properties a year ago.
Rising to 187 metres and located on Marsh Wall, The Madison has been designed by Make Architects as a hexagonal glass clad tower. It houses 423 apartments, from studios to three-bedrooms, of which 104 are classed as affordable homes.
Structural engineer is WSP, cost consultant is Core Five and Hoare Lea is providing mechanical & electrical design.
Piling works have begun and basement excavation is set to start in the coming weeks. The entire project is due for completion in 2020.
