The latest contract is for the university鈥檚 new Shenandoah dining facility. The US$8.6m (拢5.3m) project is an addition and renovation to an existing dining facility adjacent to an accommodation project currently being built by Balfour Beatty.

The structure will feature a renovated and expanded kitchen, extended servery, increased student dining space and an outdoor dining terrace.
The project team includes Gensler as project architect, Thornton Tomasetti as structural engineer, LSG Landscape Architecture as landscape architect, Paciulli Simmons and Associates as civil and environmental engineer, and GHT Limited as mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineer. All have worked on previous Balfour Beatty/George Mason University projects.
This marks the fifth project Balfour Beatty has been awarded by George Mason University. The building is slated to deliver in July 2014, coinciding with the completion of the housing scheme.
