Philip Aiken will take over from Steve Marshall as non-executive chairman of Balfour Beatty 26th March 2015.
Philip Aiken, aged 66, was president of BHP Petroleum from 1997 to 2006. The bulk of his career was spent with BOC Group, from 1970 to 1995.
Balfour Beatty describes him as a man with extensive international business experience in the industrials and resources sector having worked across the UK, USA, Asia and the Middle East.聽
He is currently non-executive chairman of Aveva Group, a non-executive director of National Grid and of Newcrest Mining.聽 He will step down from the board of National Grid this month.
