The Grand Paris Metro will circle the city of Paris and well over 130km will be underground. The new system will feature 72 stations and will interconnect with the existing public transport systems in Paris. The total construction costs of the Grand Paris Metro are estimated at 鈧23bn. The line is expected to be completed in 2023. Client for the scheme is Soci茅t茅 du Grand Paris.
Under this contract, Arcadis will lead, monitor and analyse the geotechnical investigations and define the geological and geotechnical models for the underground tracks and overpasses, including the stations. Arcadis will also verify and validate the conceptual design of each section as proposed by various engineering companies. The present contract is expected to last four years.
