An opportunity to work with Oxfam and their high street stores

22 Aug 12 Construction workers from Warwickshire are being offered the opportunity to meet prospective client Oxfam at a Constructionline supplier engagement day on Wednesday 29 August 2012.

Oxfam, a global aid and development charity with over 700 high street shops across the UK, is looking to build a local supply chain of contractors, including electricians, plumbers and multi-traders, to help with ongoing maintenance work in its shops located in Warwickshire. There are 128 Oxfam high street shops within a 30 mile radius of Warwickshire.

The event, being held at Best Western Falstaff Hotel, Leamington Spa, on Wednesday 29 August, between 8:30am and 1pm, will see small and medium-sized construction companies meet face to face with Oxfam procurement staff to find out about upcoming opportunities and to understand what Oxfam Building surveyors 诲辞.听

Rebecca Sperti, sales manager from Constructionline, said: 鈥淚t can prove difficult for local contractors to have the opportunity to get involved with large organisations, such as Oxfam. 聽It is great to see Oxfam sourcing local contractors to help them keep their high street shops in good working order. Through our supplier engagement days, we want to help suppliers find and secure work and we want to make it easier for businesses to find reliable and local construction companies.鈥

The event is free and you do not need to be registered with Constructionline to attend. 聽 Constructionline is a government-owned pre-qualification certification scheme for contractors, consultants and material suppliers.
