鈥淭he golf range had a shop and bar with driving bays at either side of it,鈥 explains project interior designer Gordon Walker of Walker Interiors, Dundee. 鈥淎 major demolition and extension project resulted in the construction of a new bar, restaurant and kitchen with driving bays on top and a purpose built golf shop.鈥
Walker specified Fernhill Stone cladding for the interior of the 2,500 square foot restaurant and bar. 鈥淚 used it for bespoke fireplaces and on sections of the walls to make it look like the outside was continuing on the inside. The curved bar counter was also formed using the stone cladding with a solid oak top鈥 he says. 鈥淚 had already used Fernhill Stone products before in a night club/bar in Arbroath. I use them mainly because of their look and feel. They work very well internally and actually look like natural stone which a lot of these products don鈥檛. The Fernhill Stone Alpine Pheasant product was ideal for this project and we managed to bring the project in on budget.鈥
He doesn鈥檛 hesitate to recommend Fernhill Stone to others. 鈥淚 have recommended them several times and I鈥檓 currently specifying Fernhill Stone products on another hotel project I am working on and I鈥檓 hoping to use it on a Distillery Visitor Centre project I have coming up as well.鈥
