Chartered civil engineer James Haluch was with EM Highway Services, and before that its parent company Mouchel, for more than 25 years. As EM鈥檚 service director, he developed the company鈥檚 integrated strategic highways services.
As Amey's strategic highways business director, Mr Haluch reports to Andy Milner, managing director of the consulting and strategic infrastructure division. Mr Milner said: 鈥淛ames has a significant track record in strategic highways and will build on Amey鈥檚 long-held place in this market.聽 He is a leader with a passion for safety and people development as well as a reputation for developing and sustaining positive client relationships, all of which makes him a great fit as he shares many of the same values as we do as a business.鈥�
Mr Haluch said: 鈥淚 am delighted to be joining a well-respected company that prides itself on the safety of its people and customers, and working collaboratively with its supply chain and clients. My initial focus will be to build on this and furthermore to grow the business in traditional and new markets to become the UK鈥檚 leading highway management and maintenance provider.鈥�
