Ashghal, the country鈥檚 public works authority, awarded Aecom the US$80m (拢50m) framework contract for southern Qatar as part of a larger US$14bn programme to develop the city鈥檚 infrastructure, local roads and drainage.
Aecom will provide services including data collection, planning, coordination, option studies, design and construction supervision.

Work on the contract is set to begin immediately.
