Thiess has engaged the joint venture to undertake the design services contract for civil and structural works, which includes stations, car parks and access roads, as well as the design of rail components.
The Moreton Bay Rail project will provide a 7.8-mile dual-track passenger rail line and six new rail stations, which will also include commuter parking, 鈥榢iss and ride鈥�, bus connectivity and facilities to encourage active transport.

Major construction is expected to start in early 2014 and the new line scheduled to be operational in 2016.
