Acquisition of the business significantly expands Aecom鈥檚 presence in the construction services market. Through the acquisition, Aecom said that it has the ability to serve clients as a fully integrated service provider with the capabilities to design, build, finance and operate infrastructure.

Hunt was established in 1944, has more than 700 employees in nine US offices and generated revenues of US$1.2 billion in 2013.

The two companies have an established history of working together on projects such as the Barclays Center in New York.

This latest deal follows Aecom鈥檚 recent announcement that it will acquire US$10bn industry peer URS. The combined entity, including URS and Hunt, will have more than 95,000 employees in 150 countries and their calendar year 2013 revenues add to more than US$20bn.
