Administrators from Deloitte were called in on 10 January and have spent a week going through the business. At the same time several contracts have inevitably been cancelled by customers in the wake of the administration.
On Friday 98 of the 289 employees were made redundant. The remaining 191 employees will stay in post while Deloitte tries to sell the business as a going concern.
Peter Allen of Deloitte, and administrator of Mivan, said: 鈥淲hile we hope to achieve a potential sale of the business, we are reviewing trading on a daily basis and this includes the employment situation. Where customers can no longer continue with contracts, the jobs associated with these contracts have, unfortunately, been lost. We would like to thank the company鈥檚 employees for their support and professionalism during this time.鈥
