The deal comes with A-Plant securing a five-year agreement to hire cabins back to McCarthy & Stone.
A-Plant said that the addition of this fleet was in line with its strategy to grow its fleet, which at 16,000 units is already one of the largest in the hire market.
Neither the number of units nor the price paid were disclosed.
A-Plant director of accommodation Ian Needham said: 鈥淲e are delighted to develop our relationship with McCarthy & Stone. They are divesting their accommodation fleet due to impressive growth plans which would have meant a large element of hired site accommodation being necessary.聽 Their fleet complements our existing range perfectly.鈥
Earlier this year, A-Plant placed one of its largest ever single orders for static and mobile welfare units, worth 拢3.2m, and plans to invest a further 拢8m over the next 12 months.
