Two firms remain in the running for the 拢1bn Hertfordshire Building Schools for the Future deal, after Balfour Beatty and Sir Robert McAlpine progressed to the final round of bidding.
Vinci has been expelled this week, and Catalyst Lend Lease was knocked out last August.
The next stage of competitive dialogue is expected to finish at the end of May with a preferred bidder likely to be announced in late August.
The winner will initially work on eight schools in the town of Stevenage.
