Morgan Ashurst has been awarded two new education contracts worth 拢14.6m.聽
The first is an 拢8.7m scheme to build a Special Educational Needs primary school in the New Forest for Hampshire County Council.聽 The school, which is set to transform special school provision in Hampshire, will feature therapy rooms, a multi-sensory area and a hydrotherapy pool. It will see two existing schools which cater for primary-aged children with special educational needs merge together.
Work starts this month and is due to be completed by June 2011.
Morgan Ashurst has also won a 拢5.9m contract to build a new primary school in Douglas, Scotland for South Lanarkshire Council.聽 Covering 1,910m虏, the new school will be built alongside the existing Douglas Primary School, which Morgan Ashurst will demolish.聽 The project is part of South Lanarkshire Council鈥檚 拢850m Primary Schools Modernisation Programme, which will see 124 schools re-built or refurbished by 2016.
Works will begin this month and complete in May 2011.
