Miller Construction has appointed Chris Webster as its new chief executive. He will also join the Miller Group board in September 2010.
Webster, who succeeds Robin Mackie, retiring after 22 years at the Miller Group, was formerly chief operating officer and main board director of Amey plc.
He joined Amey in 1990 as a project manager and was appointed Chief Operating Officer in 2007. During his time there, he worked with a number of key clients including the Highways Agency, Scottish Executive and Network Rail.
Webster said: 鈥淢iller has a reputation in the marketplace for partnering, quality and outstanding delivery. I intend to ensure that reputation is both maintained and enhanced. There are a number of exciting projects which are about to come on line and I am looking forward to working on them and to meeting the teams across the UK.鈥�

Miller Construction recorded a turnover of 拢409m for the year ending 31 December 2009.
