Kier Longley has been awarded the contract to build the 拢16m Hastings Academy in East Sussex.
The new building will replace Hillcrest School in east Hastings.
The facility will feature a purpose-built drama and performance space, a creative learning centre, a science laboratory, computer suites, an amphitheatre and improved sports facilities, with fully-integrated special needs provision.
The outside areas will feature large landscaped open spaces and an all-weather sports pitch.
Kier Longley is due to start building work early next year and the new academy is expected to open in September 2012.
