Balfour Beatty鈥檚 order book has passed the 拢14bn mark.
In a positive trading statement, the UK's biggest construction company announced that it has won 拢700m of water work under AMP5 and has secured 拢250m worth of local authority outsourcing work, taking its total orders to 拢14.1bn.
It has 拢400m of cash, which is back to the same the level before the firm bought Parsons Brinckerhoff last year.
Balfour Beatty also raised 拢24m from the sale of the Aberdeen waste water concession.
The contractor said orders were holding up well and its regional contracting businesses was trading in line with expectations.
Balfour Beatty added it was now focused on building up private sector workloads.
