Project Planner

Working for a Main contractor in delivering a package of works on Sizewell C

Location: - Sizewell C (Ipswich)

Hybrid working 1 day a week on-site, 4 days a week from home.

Salary: - £65,000 - £70,000 basic + Car + Package + Lodging costs if required (Hotel & Food)

Role Description:

The Resolute Group are working in partnership with one of the main contractors delivering a package of works on Sizewell C. Looking at the enabling works before the major construction works taking place in the next 3 years.

This package is based on Earthworks, looking at diverting water from the site with new dykes and drainage. Creating a new cofferdam and bridge for access to the site, worth an estimated £30m over the next 2 years with more bolts on's being discussed which could take this to a 5-year work package.

As a Project Planner, you be reporting directly to the Senior Project Manager and liaising with the leadership team as the sole planner for the scheme. Managing the master programme and specialist sub-contractors being used, updating the programme as required communicating this across the Technical, Operations and Commercial teams.

Day to Day duties will vary but could include:

  • Develop strong working relationships with clients, consultants, sub-contractors and Internal stakeholders.
  • Take responsibility for coordinating all third-party constraints, design, procurement and construction information into the programme
  • Make project team members at all relevant levels aware of programme risks, key issues and solutions in a proactive manner.
  • Experience of working on Primavera P6 and the Microsoft Office suite
  • Able to facilitate and lead on the development of schedules with stakeholders at all levels
  • Effective communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively as part of a multi-functional team.

Working on a hybrid basis looking at 1 day a week on site then 4 days from home, designed for you to be at the progress and clients meetings as required.

Qualifications:

  • Experience on site is key developing up from a Site Engineer into Planning is the preferred background. Understanding the drawings and technical specifications makes a more efficient programme of works.
  • Engineering Qualification be HNC / HND or Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Knowledge of P6 software.
