Our recent collaboration with IntoUniversity brought students to the Burmor sites on South Street in Stanground and Trelowen Way in Peterborough. Here, we encouraged them to envision themselves as architects, engineers, quantity surveyors, contracts managers, site managers, or bricklayers—aiming to spark the flame that could potentially shape the next generation of construction professionals.
At Trelowen Way, students had the unique opportunity to 'snag' one of our properties just before handover. Armed with post-it notes, they meticulously inspected the property for any necessary corrections. Later, back at the IntoUniversity center, under the guidance of the Burmor team, they constructed small timber frame homes.
The day's highlights were encapsulated in a compelling video, featuring insights from Burmor, the client, and IntoUniversity staff. This visual narrative captures the profound impact such experiences have on these students, providing opportunities that may otherwise be beyond their reach.
